Schema and Repair Destiny 2 Outbreak Perfected
How to perfect Destiny 2 Outbreak? Anyone with an eye on Reddit will surely be wondering. Players began to experience the stages of the quest for the revamped Outbreak Prime when Bungie rolled out Update 2.2.2. There are quite a few things to do here, but it's not as complicated as the quest to get Outbreak Prime in the first Destiny, which involved using the binary inside the Wrath of the Machine raid to open. several doors, as well as more math oriented quest stages.
Much like Outbreak Prime, Outbreak Perfected comes with the Corruption Spreads perk, which generates SIVA nanites that deal damage to nearby enemies during quick hits and precision kills. There is also a new perk, though called Parasitism, and it causes Outbreak Perfected to deal additional damage to enemies that the SIVA nanites have stuck to.
One of the main reasons you'll want to get your hands on this Exotic Pulse Rifle, however, is that it's really strong in the new Destiny 2 Crown of Sorrow raid. Throughout this guide, we'll walk you through how to complete the quest steps, where to find the nodes, and how to hopefully fix a quest getting issue that many players have. Now that you've got everything set, here's how you can get the Destiny 2 Outbreak Perfected.

How to perfect Destiny 2 Outbreak
Find the fallen transponder
For starters, you'll want to fly to Titan. Start the heroic Bad Neighbors adventure and tap until you come across your first Shrieker, which looks like a giant purple floating crystal – if you're not sure. After killing him, immediately look to your left and you should see a door that says "unlocked" if you stand close enough to it.
If you don't have access to the quest, don't worry. You can find this door through Patrol by spawning in Tidal Anchor and following the path until you pass the Control Room. Once you find your way blocked by Hive, uh, goop, go around and go through the door. You should find yourself in a small dark room with the previously mentioned door on your left.
By the way, some people have reported problems opening this door. The quickest solution is to swap characters, but if that doesn't work, make sure you've completed the Enemy of my Enemy questline. This mission ends when you see a hive knight fighting a fallen captain – play it safe and kill the knight not the captain.
Once done, head to the open door and examine the table to find the fallen transponder.
Collect the six nodes
This step is to discover nodes in the lost sectors, which shouldn't take you too long as we will detail their location here. If you want photos of each location, check out this Reddit thread from Nyxara.
- Node 1: hover over the EDZ on land, then head to the Lost Drainage Sector. Go all the way, kill the Metal Captain, but walk past the Lost Sector chest. Keep going until you come across a giant cave with fallen flags adorning the ceiling. Jump in and noodle until you find two boxes with purple leaves – between them you should see the first knot.
- Node 2: Head to the Lost Sector of Whispered Falls in the EDZ, jump into the pit, look to your right and you will see a little corner with a bright green light. I'm wondering, and you should see node 2.
- Node 3: still in the EDZ for now, go to the lost sector of the atrium and go down the stairs to the church and follow the path. Exit the first hall of the dead, exit through the door and turn left. You should see a small alcove that will have node 3 behind a pillar.
- Node 4: Head to Widow's Walk Lost Sector and take it out of all enemies. After that, go past the chest and up and to the right is a small landing inside a broken building. Jump in and you will find node 4.
- Node 5: we're done with the EDZ now, so head over to Nessus. Complete the Carrion Pit Lost Sector and walk past the chest and look to your right. Jump as far as you can then turn around. Go up behind a hidden wall and you should see node 5.
- Node 6: we're still in Nessus for the endpoint, so head to the rift lost sector and find the giant red light in the middle of the lost sector area. From there, look to the left of the chest and you should see a storage container hanging from the ledge – that's where the end node is. To get there, run to the platform and jump until you reach the open side.
Decipher the message
Now that you have all the nodes, you should see a fairly long and cryptic message in the fallen transponder. No need to worry, meet at La Ferme. When you land in the social area, turn right and you will find a large barn with an open cellar.
Go down the stairs and follow the path until you find a Fallen Captain called Mithrax, who is the Fallen Captain you should have spared from this mission we told you about earlier.
Don't talk to him right away, as that triggers the final mission. Gather your best fire crew, make sure you're all above 690 lights, and you should be good to go.
Complete the Zero Hour mission
You only have 20 minutes to complete this level, but if you have a well-leveled group of players it should be a snap. You'll want to specify your team, so you've covered Arc, Solar, and Void damage – Arc spawns the most, but it's good to have all three. If you want a more visual demonstration, you can check out the YouTuber Datto video above.
The first two areas are relatively straightforward – the first is heavy combat and requires you to fight your way through the goons, and the second is a platform section. Once you reach an area called "The Passage", descend and head under the ship which is immediately to your left. In this passage you will pass through a fairly linear ventilation shaft, but after breaking your second vent you should then take your first right and descend to the next platform. Go out and you will see a yellow bass drum.
Things may seem a little empty here, but there is a huge leap you can take. Jump and hug the wall and use your jump to push yourself onto a ledge that will appear. There is more platform to come, but it's pretty linear. Eventually you will come to a giant sinkhole – no tricks here either, jump all the way and you will find the exit at the bottom right. There's also a switch you can flip at the end to make the platform easier for your teammates.
Eventually you will come to a puzzle protected by a killer robot called Trevor. Don't mess with Trevor – he'll kill you if he touches you. The goal here is to press four switches, which can be found in the upper right, upper left, lower right, and lower left corners of this box-shaped maze. Beating this is pretty straightforward, send one of your team members to the left of the maze as you go down, and the other to the right. Keep your cool, avoid Trevor, and you'll be fine.
After that, keep going and you will reach The Vault to meet the boss. It's quite simple, but be careful that his behavior changes at times. At 90% health, it will begin to teleport and a Servant Shank will appear – remove it. At 80% two Walker Tanks will spawn on the left and right, remove them as it is not enough to kill the boss to complete the mission, you have to destroy everything. Once everything has been removed, Outbreak Perfected will be your reward.
HOW TO GET DESTINY 2'S ADVANCED OUTBREAK CATALYST
To get the Advanced Outbreak Catalyst, you'll need to complete the Heroic version of the Zero Hour Strike. The changes you can expect to see here are a power level of 700 and completely redesigned platform sections.
Start the strike as usual until you get to the air court. Instead of taking the vent under the ship to the left, you'll want to head to the right and go back to the right, where you should see an AC box. Go down the vent, follow the path through the next vent, then back down.
You will find yourself in a small industrial hall on a narrow bridge. Getting out is a breeze, shoot the levels in all four corners and follow the path. Then you will be in the aqueduct room – climb to the top, jump on the raised cover for chute 03, then follow the staggered ledges until you see an air vent.
You should now see a long, slender hallway dotted with small rooms with a lever at the end. Pull the lever and take the left path at the end of the hall to get an outer platform section. There are no cheaters here, I'm afraid. Just you and the painstaking platform Destiny is known for.
Did it? Beautiful. Head to the open panel at the top of the railing and you'll come to another slide that you need to go down. Once you're done, look up and to the right, and you should see an air vent. Once you get through that, you'll be back on familiar ground if you've ever done the Zero Hours Strike.
After that it's business as usual until you get to the vault after the boss fight. The checkered room leading to the ornate bedroom will vaporize you unless you take the right path. The way is; second from left, up, left, up, up, right, right, down, right, right, up, up, left and up.
Minus the power spike, the boss is no different here, so do as you did before and you'll catch the Advanced Outbreak Catalyst.
